Dr. Wang Specializes in water resources engineering with emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, and sediment transport. He has over 35 years of professional experience in projects involving hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, reservoir sedimentation control, watershed management, urban drainage, and sedimentation problems. He revised the original standard methodology for alluvial fan flood analysis for FEMA in 1985. He has published six technical books including "Sedimentation in Water Resources Engineering." He was a member of the Review Board of International Journal of Sediment Research from 2008 to 2010 and is currently a member of its Editorial Board. Since 2007, he has served as a foreign expert on water resources to City of Beijing. He is an adjunct faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at San Jose State University, San Jose, California, teaching hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, groundwater, and sustainable water resources engineering.
