Mr. Hsu has extensive experience in water resources engineering and computer application. His expertise includes physical model studies and numerical analyses. He has conducted numerous physical model studies on hydraulic structures, bay hydrodynamics, and river sedimentation. When with Corps of Engineers at South Pacific Division in 1990-1997, Mr. Hsu was responsible for overseeing operations of reservoirs in California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah and review of water control manuals, emergency regulations, and reports of subordinate districts. He also served as a computer system manager of the Division Water Control Data System responsible for maintaining and improving its operation. When working with Corps of Engineers at the San Francisco District in 1985-1990, Mr. Hsu was assigned to the San Francisco Bay-Delta Hydraulic Model branch. He served as a team leader for operation and maintenance of the model as a project manager responsible for technical and administrative aspects of model studies and as a system manager responsible for operation and improvement of the automated bay model computer system.
