Mr. Dawdy is an internationally recognized authority in hydrology, hydraulics, and sediment transport. He is the author of the U.S. Geological Survey rainfall-runoff model and served as a research advisor to the U.S.G.S. national research program in surface water hydrology. He served as Assistant District Chief, California District, U.S. Geological Survey in 1972-1975 and was Chief of System Analysis Laboratory, Water Resources Division, U.S. Geological Survey in 1976 before retirement. Since then, he has continued to provide consulting services to public agencies and private sector. Mr. Dawdy has contributed more than 110 professional publications and has been guest lecturer at many universities. He has participated in developing hydrology manuals and flood control/drainage master plans for counties, cities, and special districts in California and other western states.
